That's me at Da Paolo Rochester ((: Da Paolo Gastronomia is one of my best-loved takeouts for Italian pastas, soups and omgggg their desserts are da bomb! In fact, my sis and I were still buying cookies at the Paragon outlet when I was having my labour pains. We rushed to NUH thereafter and it was "Happy Birthday!" to Bielet in 45 mins. I sound like a glutton. Please scratch that story.
The pretty top I'm wearing is from my sis, from her recent vaca to Hua Hin. It's from A-dressbrand and has my fave polka dots! Aside from that, there are cutesy deers running across the front and back too. I don't often wear 3/4 or long-sleeved tops because I am a walking radiator and often reach the verge of self-combustion. That's why most of my past office looks are sleeveless despite it being a tad inappropriate, because the stress in office often makes me that much closer to the aforementioned self-combustion. Of course, I cover up with jackets so still maintain my corporate image and cool ((: Anyway, the top is in light polyester and allows me to stay cool throughout. Laughs.
Have been keeping my accessories to a minimum, I think largely because I have come to the realisation that I've grown too old for my girly cosmetic jewellry and cutesy accessories. I'm wearing my gorgeous bow necklace, which was an anniversary gift from the hubby a couple of years back. Love.
The zipper at the back added an interesting touch. I like exposed zippers for some reason.
That's Bielet at the clinic, making friends with the nurses before her jabs. She looks really thin here )): Doc (aka my sis) says she needs to eat more, especially protein. Okayy, my next resolution is to gain her a few more pounds.
After the jabs, we went to get our brunch at Da Paolo Rochester (because we realised there's like nothing open at Rochester Mall) and here's what we had!
My mushroom risotto, which doesn't look like much because I was ravenous and only remembered to take a shot after I already attacked it. Oops.
My sis's scrambled eggs and beef sausages. She particularly loved the potatoes on the side!
My hubby's bacon pancakes
Bielet was sleeping throughout the meal, and only woke up when we were finishing up. She didn't like the Da Paolo fare, so we decided to head to Petit Bowl at United Square. It's an eatery catered to babies, toddlers and children - something that the hubby and I were contemplating venturing into, then we learnt of this place. Bielet loved the food! So glad ((:
Bielet's cod fish spinach & alphabet pasta, which has spinach, milk, cheese and gluten free pasta. All organic goodness. And I loved that they served it with 2 spoons - because that's exactly how we eat at home! One spoon for me to feed Bielet, and the other for Bielet to experiment feeding herself and getting used to the spoon.
Dessert was apple & berry crumble with cereal. Bielet polished this good!
With such an eventful day yesterday, we are just bumming around at home today. Bielet taking her afternoon nap, the hubby watching his "The Pickers" and me blogging away. We heart bumming!
