These pair of jeans are from my favourite Taiwanese brand, Zax. My most frequented city has got to be Taipei (yes, I know a lot of people still don't believe it's my favourite city because I can't speak Mandarin to save my life) and I used to go crazy over everything in the shop. It was a cheaper version of Shanghai Tang, and a younger / trendier / more wearable version too. I have this pair of jeans, a belt and 2 bags and something else that I cannot remember (hmmmm, still wondering). Anyway, when I say 'cheaper', it was still quite expensive - like this pair of jeans cost over 100 bucks and I just started work then. That aside, I am so proud that I can still wear this 5 years on and after 1 kid. Cue evil crazy nonsensical laughter.

So why the title "I Hate Zax" then?

The reason why I was drawn to the Zax shop in the first place was that I was at the height of my Mandopop craze then. And of course, my favourite 5566 member was Zax. OMGGG I feel so old reminiscing about this... Anyway, while 5566 has officially disbanded, the Zax shop has also gone defunct. Sadness. Other than lusting after Shanghai Tang stuff, I have fallen in love with another super high-end store - JiXiang Zhai at MBS.

I hate that there's no more Zax. Hrmph.
